Sex before 6 weeks after giving birth, What can happen to your body?

I was wondering if anything bad can happen to your body if you have sex like 3 weeks after the baby is born. Like can u cause harm to your uterus or cervix? Or is that just another way for doctors to run your life. I know that you can get pregnant again but I was just wonderin if it can actually cause harm.

Yes, it could cause harm, especially if you tore/had an episiotomy during labor. Doctors aren't trying to run your life, they're trying to protect you.
